Role overview

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and Global Business Development Manager, the Regional Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for the company’s products and service in the United Kingdom. This will require the individual to build strong relationships and networks with key stakeholders, leaders and decision makers.

Your key responsibilities

  • Support the company in formulating a long term Regional Business Development Strategy
  • Establish the Regional Business Development function working closely with the company’s Global Business Development Manager by setting the company’s regional business development vision, mission, goals, strategies and deliverables based on the company’s objectives and budget
  • Participate in development of the organization’s periodic strategic and operational work plans
  • Support as well as guide the company’s management in appraising policies and strategies relating to Business Development
  • Champion the company’s growth initiatives within the United Kingdom by leading the company’s initiatives to expand its footprint within the region
  • Build the SEPA Cyber brand and promote it regionally and internationally, where applicable
  • Keep abreast of new developments in the industry and competitive strategies and developments at a regional level
  • Develop and maintain close and effective relationships and networks with both existing and potential new clients in the region
  • Use every opportunity available to promote the company’s profile, image and brand by participating in FinTech trade fairs, exhibitions, promotions and all other such business development and brand awareness initiatives
  • Represent the company at international forums whenever required
  • Recruit and select staff for the business development and sales team
  • Organize orientation and training of new staff members
  • Allocate tasks and assignments to subordinates and monitor their performance
  • Ensure top performance of office staff by providing them adequate coaching and guidance
  • Remain updated on technical and professional knowledge

What you will need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Commerce, Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technologies or any other related field
  • At least five years of experience in regional or international business development at a senior level within Europe or other region
  • Demonstrable track record of success in developing and fostering key relationships at a senior level within the Financial and Banking sector
  • Demonstrable track record of business development, increasing sales and offtake contracts, preferably in FinTech sector
  • Very strong communication and negotiation skills, high degree of commercial awareness, with business acumen
  • Ability to work and interact with senior executives including at board level, a high degree of initiative and ability to work independently
